More Schools are bringing Breakfast to the Classroom
Some schools in Compton were getting poor attendance to their free breakfast program so they decided to move it from the cafeteria to the classroom. With this move has come some benefits like better attendance and the kid’s performance has improved with the school nurse seeing less kids with belly aches.
It was a bit to get the teachers to realize the change would be good but once on board all have seen the good from moving breakfast into the classroom.
Every morning volunteers transport the breakfast into the classroom in insulated food containers and retrieve the food containers for reuse.
